New Beginnings for the Blog

Hi everyone!

I hope you have enjoyed reading The Making Of: Katrina Owens PR. I must admit that when I started this blog back in November, I had no idea that it was going to be so successful, and that it was going to help me out so much in my professional life.

As an up and coming blogger, I’ve learned a lot about the industry (yes, did you know there’s a whole industry behind blogging?), and about myself. But the biggest thing I think I’ve learned is that I LOVE helping people develop their career and professional lives. With that being said, as much as I love writing about fashion, and beauty, and making you guys laugh, I’ve learned that it’s important for your blog to fall into a specific ‘niche’. So over the summer, it’s a project of mine to transform my blog into something a little more career-oriented for all post-secondary students to enjoy (not just those in PR or communications like myself). But don’t worry, you can still expect fashion/beauty/and humour posts… let’s just say they may take a more career-oriented spin.

Thus, the purpose of this post is two-fold. Firstly, I wanted to give my dedicated readers a bit of a “warning” about this small re-brand and transformation. Things you can expect include: a possible name change, a more professional layout, and more frequent updates.

Secondly, I wanted to ask for the input of my readers. As much as this blog is a place for me to build on my writing, social media, and web design skills, I also want to help you! One of the best compliments I’ve ever received is when a classmate told me she aced an interview after reading one of my posts. So I want to write more posts regarding things you might find useful.

I’ve included an anonymous submission form below, and I would love for you guys to fill it out. Let me know what you love about my blog, or even what you don’t. And definitely let me know what you’re interested in reading about, topic suggestions are ALWAYS welcome.

Thank you so much!
